Privacy Policy
JumpNotes was built with a privacy-first mindset. Our philosophy is simple: Your notes are yours, and we don't want to see them.
1. No Data Collection
JumpNotes does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or any form of analytics. We do not know who you are or what videos you are watching.
2. Local Storage Only
All notes, timestamps, and bookmarks created within the extension are stored locally on your device using the chrome.storage.local API. This data never leaves your computer unless you explicitly use the "Export" feature to save it as a file yourself.
3. Third-Party Access
Since we do not have a central server or database, there is no data to share with third parties. We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information because we don't have access to it in the first place.
4. YouTube Integration
JumpNotes interacts with the YouTube website to detect video IDs and timestamps. This process happens entirely within your browser. The extension does not communicate with YouTube's servers on your behalf, nor does it access your YouTube account information.
5. Your Rights
Because your data is stored locally, you have full control over it. You can delete your notes at any time through the extension interface, or by uninstalling the extension, which will clear all associated local storage.
