Privacy Policy
1. Core Principle
Protecting your privacy is the top priority for BarTimer. BarTimer is designed as a local tool. This means: what happens in your browser, stays in your browser.
2. Data Collection and Storage
BarTimer does not collect, transmit, or store personal data on external servers.
- All settings, alarms, and timer configurations are stored exclusively locally via your browser's
chrome.storageAPI. - No synchronization with cloud services occurs, unless you have explicitly enabled Google's own browser synchronization.
- The extension requires no registration and no account.
3. Permissions
For BarTimer to function correctly, the following permissions are required:
- Alarms (alarms): Required to run timers and alarms in the background, even when the popup is closed.
- Storage (storage): Required to save your custom timers and settings locally.
- Notifications (notifications): Required to inform you visually and audibly when a timer or alarm has expired.
4. Analysis and Tracking
BarTimer uses no analysis tools (such as Google Analytics), no tracking, and contains no advertising. No usage statistics are collected.
5. Third Parties
Since the extension works entirely offline (local-first), no data is shared with third-party providers.
6. Contact
